Obituary: James Ira Shepherd, 78, United States Marine Mr. Shepherd was a retired serviceman, a veteran of WWII, Korea, Vietnam. Graveside services at Tarter Cemetery with military honors by VFW Post 6097 James Ira Shepherd, 78, of 509 Hutchison Loy Road Columbia, KY, passed away Monday, November 20, 2006, at 8:31pm CT, at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room Columbia, KY. Graveside service will be Wednesday, November 22, 2006, at 2:00pm CT, at Tarter Cemetery, Millerfield Road, Russell Springs, with burial to follow. Bro. J. Richard Lehman will be the officiating clergy. Military honors at Cemetery will be by local Columbia VFW Post 6097. He was the son of the late Seathy White and Gertrude Ann Holt Shepherd. He was preceded in death by his wife, Juana Deloris Blakeman Shepherd. on April 8, 1975. He is survived by the following:
