Obituary: Mary Ameri, 78, Sparksville Community

Ms. Ameri was retired after a 15 year career with Summit Manor

Mary Ameri, 78, 178 Ameri Road, Columbia, KY (the Sparksville Community) passed away Tuesday, October 31, 2006, at 11:00am CT, at the Green Hill Manor Nursing Home in Greensburg, KY, after an illness.

She was a native of Hammond, IN, the daughter of David and Ann Major Szanyi.



She is survived by her husband, John Ameri, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Ann Marie Ameri, Columbia, KY; and Maria Margaret and her husband Brian Foreman, Wallend, TN

  • Two brothers: Richard Szanyi, New York, NY; and David Szanyi, Hammond, IN

  • Two step grandchildren: Naomi and Amber Foreman.
Mrs. Ameri was a homemaker and was retired from Summit Manor Nursing Home where she worked for 15 years.

There will be a private service at a later date. There will be no visitation. The family has chosen cremation.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, Columbia, KY, is in charge of arrangements.
