Tommy Nobles, 73, member of Columbia United Methodist Church

Mr. Nobles was a prominent Adair County farmer in the Lampton Lane community.
Tommy Nobles, 73, 2390 Greensburg Road, Columbia, KY, passed away Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at 10:15pm at Westlake Regional Hospital Emergency Room, Columbia, KY.

The funeral service will be Friday, May 19, 2006, at 11:00am at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Rev. Richard Lowe the officiating clergy.


He was the son of the late Thomas Neal and Virginia Mae Paxton Nobles, SR.

He was a member of the Columbia United Methodist CHurch and was a prominent Adair County farmer.

He is survived by his wife, Louise Dunbar Nobles, Columbia, KY, and the following:
  • One son: William Neal Nobles and his wife, Debbie, Columbia, KY

  • One grandson: William Douglas Nobles and his wife, Laura Dee

  • Three step grandchildren: Donald Gene Burton and his wife Delphine; Misty Claywell and her husband Justin; and Michael Dean Burton and his wife Alison

  • One great grandson: William Mathew Nobles

  • Three step great grandchildren: Taylor Michelle Burton, Patrick Alain Burton, and Brydon David Burton

  • And a host of other relatives and friends
Interment will be in Haven Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 5pm, Thursday, May 18, 2006, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.

Pallbearers: Michael Burton, Donald Burton, Justin Claywell, Shawn Shawn Shirley, Donald Rowe, David Wayne Claycomb, Steve Coomer, and Dean Hayes.

Honorary Pallbearers: Kenny Brock, Lawrence Brock, Richard L. Walker, Udell Shirley, Richie Janes, Dennis Loy, Bob Stivers, Ray Rowe, and Bob Gresham.
