Nora Abston, 88, dies in Edmonton, KY

She leaves a large family, with 32 living descendants
Nora Abston, 88, West Page ST, Columbia, KY, died Wednesday, May 10, 2006, at 1:35 p.m., at the Metcalfe County Health Care Center in Edmonton, KY.

The funeral service will be Friday, May 12, 2006, at 1:00 p.m., at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.

She was the daughter of the late James and Alice Hadley Shearer, the widow of Beecher Abston, and a homemaker.

Survivors include the following:
  • Charles, James Ronald, Paul and Ricky Abston, all of Columbia, KY, and David Abston, Noblesville, IN.

  • And 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren
Burial will be in Union Cemetery, Milltown Church Road, Columbia, KY.

Visitation will be after 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 11, 2006, at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.
