Mattie Wynema (Wanda) Ballou, 87, Columbia, KY (1939-2026) Mattie Wynema "Wanda" Ballou of Columbia passed away on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home in Glasgow. She was 87 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Friday, July 10, 2026, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Tim Crawhorn officiating. Burial will follow in the Haven Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday after 9amCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. Mrs. Ballou was born in Columbia, KY on January 31, 1939, to the late Samuel Allen and Lula Keen Stephens. She was also preceded in death by her husband Carlos Ballou and all her siblings. She was a member of the Columbia Nazarene Church and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She is survived by several nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives. Pallbearers will be Jesse Page, Chris Emerson, Glenn Stephens, Jr., Kristin Stephens, Terry Lynn Dudley, and Ronnie Grider. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Columbia Nazarene Church @ 1200 Jamestown St. Columbia, Ky 42728 or the Haven Hill Cemetery 1276 Liberty Rd.
