Sue Ann Parrish, 86, Burkesville, KY

Sue Ann (Alexander) Parrish of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, July 3, 2026, at the Cumberland Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 86 years, 6 months, and 25 days.

She was born on Friday, December 8, 1939, in Glasgow, Kentucky, the daughter of James L. & Margaret (Smith) Alexander. Sue was of the Christian faith and attended Amandaville Christian Church. She held a Bachelor's Degree and had a distinguished career as a bank executive with Bank of Cumberland. She also enjoyed being active in the Cumberland County Democratic Club but above all, Sue cherished her time with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Parrish, and daughter, Evelyn Parrish.


She is survived by her children, John (& Gale) Parrish of Burkesville, Kentucky; Joan Austin of Lexington, Kentucky; cousin, Margaret Anderson of Bowling Green, Kentucky; several cousins; along with many other relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be conducted on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 12noonCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 10 until the funeral hour. Burial will follow in the Leslie Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, donations appreciated to the Leslie Cemetery, PO Box 37, Burkesville, Kentucky 42717; or The Alzheimer's Association, 225 N Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
