Willis "Dick" Acree, 81, Glens Fork, KY. Veteran of World War II Glens Fork resident had recently been baptized in Christ. He was a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College, and an avid baseball player and bird hunter, who is also survived by his beloved dog, Smokey Willis "Dick" Acree, 81, of the Glens Fork Community, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2006, at the Audubon Hospital in Louisville, KY after several months illness. The funeral service will be Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY. Interment will be in the Haven Hill Cemetery with military rites at the graveside by VFW Post 6097, Columbia, KY. Mr. Acree had recently been baptized into Christ. He was a U. S. Army World War II veteran, a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Legion. He was a graduate of Lindsey Wilson College, and an avid bird hunter and baseball player. The family request visitation after 4:00 P.M. on Friday, April 28, 2006, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. He was the son of the late Fred Nathan and Jennie Ross Acree of Adair County, Kentucky. Mr. Acree is survived by the following:
