Gary R. Terry, 83, Casey County, KY Gary R. Terry, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, May 22, 2026, at his home. He was 83. Born on September 27, 1942, in Cincinnati, Ohio, he was the son of the late Arvil and Elizabeth Thomas Terry. Gary was a retired Loan Officer at Casey County Bank where he worked for twenty-nine years. He was also an ambassador at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home for the past nine years. Gary enjoyed bass fishing and collecting CASE knives. He was a member of Westside Christian Church. Survivors include his wife, Jeannette Christian Terry, who he wed on November 7, 1963; daughters, Kathryn (and Kirk) Leigh and Jennifer Terry, both of Danville; daughter-in-law, Cathy Terry of Versailles; and grandchildren, Erin (and James) Schreiner of Versailles, Caitlin (and Joe) Rickert of Lexington, Zachary (and Madison) Leigh of Paint Lick, and McKenzie Terry of Versailles. Other survivors include great-grandchildren, Tucker, Grayson, and Emma Schreiner, and Connelly and George Rickert; brothers-in-law, Lowell (and Sandy) Christian and Gary Christian, both of Liberty; and sisters-in-law, Pearl Christian of Liberty and Linda Rousey of Hustonville. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Gary Thomas Terry; and a brother-in-law, Gerald Rousey. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Marty Shackelford officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, May 25, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Dustin Neat, Brad Neat, Greg Neat, Johnny Johnson, Steven Brown, and Pat Terry. Memorial contributions In Memory of Gary Terry may be made to The American Cancer Society- The Hope Lodge at 1500 College Way, Lexington, KY 40502 or Hospice of Lake Cumberland at 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42503.
