Carl William Carnes, 89, Russell County, KY

Carl William Carnes, age 89, of Jamestown, KY passed away Friday, May 15, 2026 at his residence. He was retired from Valley Fence Construction Company and member of Freedom Christian Church and a Mason.

He was born on Wednesday, June 10 1936, in Jamestown, Ky, the son of Margie Wheat Carnes and Walter Carnes, who preceded him in death.


Survivors also include:

2 Sons: Timothy Carnes, spouse Jennifer, of Russell Springs KY; Anthony Carnes, spouse Tiffany, of Jamestown KY.

He is survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gladys McClure Carnes and a sister Helen Humble.

Funeral services will be 4pmCT Tuesday, May 19 2026 at Wilson Funeral Home, 391 East Steve Wariner Drive, Russell Springs, KY. Visitation will be 2 Tuesday.

Interment will be in Carnes - Ballenger Cemetery, Black Fish Road, Jamestown, KY.

Officiating: Bro. Wendell Roberts and Bro. Faron Clair.
