Bobby Wayne Wooten, 53, Russell County, KY Bobby Wayne Wooten, of Jamestown, passed away Friday, May 15, 2026, at University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington, from injuries sustained in an accident. He was 53 years of age. Born July 3, 1972, in Albany, he was a son of the late Emanuel and Dollie Jones Wooten. He was a carpenter by trade and had worked for many years on construction of commercial buildings. His favorite hobby was working on old cars and entering demolition derbies. He loved to spend time with his family and friends and was the kind of person who enjoyed making other people laugh. Survivors include his son, Elijah Wooten; a “bonus” son, Chris Thomas; fiancée, Kassi King; three brothers, Randall Wooten, of Russell Springs, Asa (and Cheryl) Wooten, of Jamestown, and Kenneth (and Shannon) Wooten, of Russell Springs; a sister, Juanita (and William) Lee, of Campbellsville; one grandchild, Raylan King; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Rosetta Russell, and brother-in-law Ernie Russell. Funeral services are 1pmCT Monday, May 18, 2026, at Bernard Funeral Home with Brother Phillip Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Ridge Crest Cemetery. Visitation will begin after 9 on Monday and continue until time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the funeral home to offset the cost of the funeral expenses.
