Food donations requested to prepare for summer

By Pastor Ryan Boatright, Columbia United Methodist Church

We have an opportunity for our community to make a meaningful difference by supporting a food drive for Adair County High School.

The goal is to help ensure that local families have access to nutritious food during the school’s summer break, when resources can be limited.

Donations of nonperishable items such as canned tuna, beans, vegetables, peanut butter, dried fruit, oats, and other shelf-stable foods are encouraged.

Items can be dropped off anytime between 7am and 8pmCT at Sleep Inn in Columbia (350 Dohoney Trace), and all contributions will be delivered to the school’s FRYSC program on May 16th.

This is a simple but powerful way to care for families in our community and live out our calling to serve others.
