Baseball: Indians at John Hardin on Monday By Trey Stephens, Staff Writer The Adair County High School Baseball team currently sits at 14-12, following a recent loss of 0-3 on Friday to Green County, an 11-1 win over Hart County on Monday, and a two-game split against Taylor County (the Tribe won 7-6 at home on Tuesday, and then fell 0-3 on the road on Thursday). In the Tuesday 7-6 win over Taylor County, the Indians' offense was led in hits by Bryce Russell, Carson Darnell, and Jasper Kemp, all with a pair. Darnell would lead the Indians in runs, with two. Jay Harmon led the Tribe in RBIs, with two, joined by Darnell and Kemp, who had one each. On the mound, Dax Conn would get the start and would do 3 1/3 innings of work, throwing 67 pitches, and giving up four hits, five runs (three of which were earned), walking three batters, and striking out one. Jasper Kemp would come in from the bullpen to do two innings of work, giving up three hits, one earned run, and striking out one batter on 27 pitches. Matthew MeJean would also pitch in relief, doing 1 2/3 innings of work giving up no hits, no runs, and walking just one batter. Kemp would get credit for the win. Adair County will be back in action this upcoming week as they go on the road to face John Hardin (3-17) on Monday before doing a home-and-away two-game series with Marion County (12-8) on Tuesday and Thursday. They'll round out the week with road trips to Metcalfe County on Friday and St. Xavier on Saturday. This story was posted on 2026-05-04 14:06:26
