Joe Wayne Bridgewater, 47, Green County, KY

Joseph "Joe" Wayne Bridgewater was born January 24, 1979 in Green County, Kentucky to Jennifer Bridgewater-Edelen of Campbellsville. He was raised by his grandparents, Joe and Dean Bridgewater. He departed this life Friday, April 24, 2026, having attained the age of forty-seven years and three months.

Jowayne had made a profession of faith in Christ at a young age and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. He had a passion for music and loved to laugh and make others laugh. He loved spending time with his kids and family and truly admired his grandbabies. He is preceded in death by his wife Lauren Bridgewater, his brother Kenyatta Bridgewater, and his grandfather Joe Bridgewater.


He is survived by his mother: Jennifer Bridgewater-Edelen of Campbellsville; eight children: Calube Wise, Jayden Bridgewater, Joseph Bridgewaer, Issac Bridgewater, Tatum Bridgewater, Enoch Bridgewater, Emery Bridgewater, and Zaebryn Miller; four grandchildren: Legen Smith, Sa'Riah Bridgewater, Zavion Bridgewater, and Kemry Bridgewater; one brother: Michael Thompson of Russell Springs; two sisters: Monsontalia Miller of Louisville and Davidia Edelen of Campbellsville; his grandmother: Dean Bridgewater of Campbellsville; plus a host of nieces, nephews, family and close friends.

Funeral Services will be conducted at 1pmCT Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at Foster-Toler Curry Funeral Home in Greensburg with Rev. Jarrell Hill, Master of Ceremony and Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Bridgewater-Groves-Caldwell Cemetery.

Visitation will be held beginning at 10amCT Tuesday, until time of the service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy be made to the family burial fund and these can be made at the funeral home.
