Still time to purchase ducks for 2026 Duck Derby From Trey Stephens City of Columbia | Assistant to the Mayor The City of Columbia will be holding the annual Columbia Duck Derby in Russell Creek at 11amCT on Saturday, May 2, 2026, from the City's McKinney Landing Trail Town kayak launch. The Duck Derby, which is the most exciting five minutes in Rubber Duck sports, features rubber ducks, purchased by individuals, racing down Russell Creek to win prizes donated by members of our community. This year's Grand Prize is a new kayak generously donated by Walmart of Columbia. You can purchase your ducks, at a cost of $5 each, by calling City Hall at 270-384-2501 during normal business hours any time before 4pmCT on Friday, May 1, 2026.
