Dale Norris Wright, 68, Burkesville, KY Dale Norris Wright of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, having attained the age of 68 years, 5 months, and 30 days. He was born in Burkesville, Kentucky on Wednesday, October 23, 1957, the son of Roy Edward and Nina Grace (Norris) Wright. He was of Christian faith and a member of Dutch Creek Methodist Church. He enjoyed playing and singing gospel music for his church, hunting, fishing, and enjoyed being a Certified Shooting Sports Coach with Cumberland County 4-H Club. He was a Cumberland County High School graduate class of 1976 and a bus driver for the Cumberland County School District. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elizabeth Gail Hardin, brothers-in-law Rev. Lynn Farlee and Brian Burchett, and a nephew Eddie Farlee. He is survived by his wife Ruby (Burchett) Wright of Burkesville Kentucky, whom he wed on Sunday, June 15, 1986. His son Jeremy (&Crystal) Wright of Greensburg Kentucky, his sister Brenda Farlee of Auburn, Kentucky, Special Caregivers, Amanda Moore and Amber Arms, both of Burkesville, Kentucky, his grandson Jayden Hunter Wright, step-grandchildren Graicy Rayburn and James Rayburn. The funeral service will be conducted on Saturday, April 25, 2026, at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Ron Turner, Bro. David Norris officiating and a eulogy by Jayden Hunter Wright. The family will receive friends on Friday, April 24, 2026, after 3 until the funeral hour on Saturday. Burial will be in the Dutch Creek Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, contributions appreciated to the Cumberland County 4-H Shooting Sport Program.
