Margaret Sue Williams, 86, Adair Co., KY native (1939-2026) Margaret Sue (Yates) Williams of Albany Kentucky, died on Friday April 17, 2026 at her home after a lengthy illness. She was 86 years old. She was born August 13, 1939, in Adair County, to the late Hugh and Dimple Reeves Yates. She was preceded in death by her twin brother Don Yates of Columbia, KY and her former husband Jack R Williams of Cookeville, TN. The funeral servcie will be held at NoonCT on Monday, April 20, 2026, at Talbott Funeral Home, 1106 N. Cross St., Albany, KY, with Bro. Nathan Boils officiating. Burial will follow in the Reeves Family Cemetery in Columbia, Kentucky Visitation is requested from 5pmCT to 8pmCT on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at Talbott Funeral Home. Survivors include two siblings, Betty (Ross) Bitterling of Bowling Green, KY and Bobby Yates of Columbia, KY, two sons David (Mandy) Williams of Monticello, Kentucky, John (Jackie) Williams of Barbourville, Kentucky, two grandchildren Nick Williams of Albany, Kentucky and Lyndsey (Chris) Moye of Lexington, Kentucky. Six step grandchildren, Tanner (Shelby) Bell of Somerset, Kentucky, Tori (Jason) Perkins, Taylor (Braxton) Dick of Monticello Ky, Amy (Steve) Everly of Corbin, Kentucky, Hannah (Jason) Valentine and Daniel Frost of Barbourville, Kentucky. Five step great grandchildren, Ada, Jett, Indy, Briggs, and Bostyn. She is also survived by several nieces, a nephew, and many other relatives and friends. Sue was a legal secretary and later worked for Social Services for many years and a member of Albany First Baptist Church. Sue was a people person that never met a stranger.
