Norma Laverne Russell, 89, Taylor County, KY Norma Laverne Russell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ray Godsey and Bertha Goode Godsey, was born July 5, 1936 in Taylor County, Kentucky. She died at 3:02 P.M., Wednesday, April 8, 2026 in Campbellsville at age 89. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Baptist Church. Norma united in marriage to Wallace C. Russell December 21, 1954 and he preceded her in death September 4, 1992. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville after twenty-eight years of service. She later worked as a CNA with Home Health and Medco Nursing Home for several years. Her family said, "she devoted her life to caring for others." Norma is survived by one daughter: Rita Kay Russell Ford of Lebanon; two grandchildren: Kevin Abell Ford and Amanda Vannice and husband, Jason of Campbellsville; three great-grandchildren: Tiffany Ford and Tori Hardin of Lebanon and Jacob Stewart of Kansas; one brother and one sister: Douglas Godsey and wife, Gail of Campbellsville and Pat Thompson and husband, George of Adair County; one sister-in-law, Marsha Godsey of Adair County; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Norma was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vickie Arlene Smith and a brother, Larry Godsey. FUNERAL SERVICE: 1pmET Thursday, April 16, 2026 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Bro.
