Lura Glidewell, 87, Taylor County, KY Lura Glidewell of Campbellsville, daughter of the late Ewine "Buddy" Quinn and Bonnie Hazel Davis Quinn, was born September 22, 1938 in Metcalfe County, Kentucky. She died at 12:25 A.M., Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in Campbellsville at age 87. Lura had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Elk Horn Baptist Church. She was a retired employee of Fruit of the Loom in Campbellsville and continued on as a homemaker after retirement. She united in marriage to Clarence Glidewell June 30, 1962 and he preceded her in death January 10, 2008. Lura was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother. She was a God-fearing woman and stayed active in her church. Lura was influential not only in the raising of her own children but also her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a social butterfly and left an impression with every one she met. Lura is survived by five grandchildren: Quinn Lowe and wife, Rhiannon and JoAnn Beard of Greensburg, Holly Wood and husband, Adam of Campbellsville, Chris Lowe of Lexington and Jonathan Lowe of Vine Grove; ten great-grandchildren: Graci Wood, Landon Wood, Baylor Wood, Jace Lowe, Kynlee Beard, Creek McQueary, Luxy McQueary, Lemmy McQueary, Kylee Lowe and Talon Lowe; three great-great-grandchildren: Luxton Atwood, Sunni Atwood and Swayzi Atwood; one sister: Jean French of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Lura was also preceded in death by two daughters: Alecia Glidewell Lowe and Tuttie Clark; one son-in-law, Mike Clark and one brother and one sister: Dennis Quinn and Nadine Willis. FUNERAL SERVICE: 11amET Monday, April 13, 2026 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. Brian Rafferty and Bro.
