Darlene Campbell a hit at ACGS April meeting From Mike Watson The Adair County Genealogical Society's April 6th meeting hosted our own Darlene Franklin Campbell, noted author, researcher, artist, and historical interpreter, and retired teacher. The topic was one of considerable interest: Native Americans in Adair County and South Central Kentucky History. Well-known for her presentations on Native American culture and life, and DNA research, Darlene did not disappoint her audience. She touched upon the many local families that may have Native American blood lines as well as possible Melungeon links in their genetic and genealogical pasts. The ACGS and the Adair Genealogy & History Research Center wishes to thank Darlene for a fascinating presentation! For information on upcoming programs and historical and genealogical events: email adairgenealogy@gmail.com or call 270-380-1024 or contact us via face book on our page Adair County Genealogical Society. The Adair Genealogy & History Research Center is located at 307 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY. This story was posted on 2026-04-07 11:41:29
