Etchel Spears, 79, Cumberland County, KY

Etchel Spears, age 79 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2026 at his home. Etchel was born on September 23, 1946 in Cumberland County, KY to the late Charlie Spears and Inis Huddleston Spears.

He had attended Spears Chapel Church and was a retired employee of the Kentucky State Parks. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister Rachel Riley and three brothers Vernon Spears, Virgil Spears, and Henry Spears.

Survivors Include:

One Sister- Hazel Moore of Burkesville, KY

Special Family- Alexis Walker, Savannah Walker, Susie Walker, and Eva Neathery.

along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Service: Wednesday, March 11, 2026 at 2pmCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N .Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Poplar Grove Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Tuesday, March 10th from 5 until 9 and on Wednesday from 6 until time for the funeral service..
