Free virtual divorce clinics from AppalReD Legal Aid From Charnel M. Burton, Pro Bono Director AppalReD Legal Aid AppalReD Legal Aid will be offering a series of free virtual Family Law Clinics in November and December for low-income and other vulnerable residents in their service area, which includes Adair, Casey, Cumberland, and Russell Counties. Upcoming virtual clinics will be held from NoonCT to 3pmCT on November 4, November 18, December 2, and December 16, 2025. Pro Bono attorneys will help with divorce and custody matters. To register, call 606-886-8136 ext. 1311, or apply online at ardfky.org/gethelp. The Appalachian Research and Defense Fund of Kentucky, Inc., known as "AppalReD Legal Aid," is a private non-profit law firm. Their work is funded by public and private grants and donations. AppalReD offers free civil legal help to eligible low-income people in 37 counties of the Appalachian Mountains and rolling hills of eastern and south-central Kentucky, a region home to more than 220,000 people living in poverty. AppalReD focuses on legal problems that affect their clients' basic needs for food, shelter, income, personal safety from all forms of abuse, and safety and stability for children and the elderly.
