Letter: Bearwallow Cemetery maintenance

By Larry Burton

My name is Larry Burton. Not too long ago. I posted a request asking people to donate to bear wallow for the upkeep of our ancestral grounds. The cemetery is the last contact for the people that we love and admire. It gave me great pride to see that people have been donating to the cemetery. My family has been on Burton Ridge since the very beginning of the Burtons immigration to their new home. My great grandfather donated the land for Purdue Church and the school located behind the church.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those of you who feel as I do that our ancestors deserve to have their resting place kept up. I would like to thank Danny Goodin for his resolve in taking care of Bearwallow.

I would like to request that the local funeral homes place the cemeteries as an option for donations. Maybe they have done that already if not, please do. Thank you once again, -Larry
