CPD: Taylor Co man charged with drug trafficking The Columbia Police Department arrested a Taylor County man late Monday night on drug trafficking and paraphernalia charges. At approximately 11:51pmCT, officers with the Columbia Police Department encountered a male subject walking along Hudson Street. During the encounter, officers located a backpack containing suspected crystal methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. In addition to the drug-related charges, he was also served with an active Kentucky Parole Warrant. The subject, Jeffery E. Wright, age 52, of Campbellsville, Kentucky, was taken into custody and charged with the following offenses:
