Letter: mural may be vinyl cling wallpaper

Cayce Davenport writes:
Concerning the lovely Columbia mural at Walmart, I'm flattered to be mistaken as its artist. But alas that beautiful work is not mine. I took a close look at it myself the other day out of curiosity.

It appears to be a vinyl cling wallpaper created from a digital scan of an original painting, no identifying signatures that I could find. I suspect, and someone correct me if wrong, that Walmart employs a single artist to design murals for a number of locations.

This is due to the similar style of painting I've seen in other Walmart entires. Before Columbia's Walmart was renovated, it had a mural located on the pharmacy side entrance which was very similar in style to the newest one today. It's lovely! And I'm happy to have a variety of artists' work on display in our town.
