Gerald D. Bailey, 74, Russell Springs, KY (1950-2024) Gerald Darwin Bailey of Russell Springs passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2024 at his residence. He was 74 years old. The funeral will be held at 11amCT on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, 801 North Race Street, Glasgow, KY. Burial will follow in the Bailey Cemetery in Knob Lick, Kentucky. Visitation will be from 3pmCT to 8pmCT on Friday, and after 8amCT on Saturday until time for services at Hatcher & Saddler. Gerald was born on June 8, 1950. He enjoyed farming and family. He was a son of the late Guy Thomas and Goldie Muriel Eudy Bailey. He is survived by his wife: Kathy Brown Bailey; five children: Wendy Waddle (Terry), Contessa Johnson, Brandey Morgan (Larry), Jason Bailey and Shallan Bailey; seven grandchildren: Megan Quinn (Will), Paige Kerns (Timmy), Becca Johnson, Brett Young, Cheyenne McGill (Justin), Bailey Lee Holmes and Rylie Bailey; eight great-grandchildren: Gracin Quinn, Sadie Quinn, Clayton Kerns, Keagan Bowen, Lillian McGill, Auroa Kerns, Mason Bowen and Jolie Kerns; one sister: Wanda Kidd; two brothers: Ricky Bailey (Janet) and David Bailey (Faye); several nieces and nephews also survive. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers: Thomas Bailey, Russell Bailey and Clay Bailey; two sisters: Sarah Francis Bailey and Lauretta Johnson.
