Imogene Giles, 86, Knifley, KY (1938-2024) Imogene (Spires) Giles of Knifley passed away on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at her residence. She was 86 years old. Funeral services will be held at 11amCT on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at the Knifley Brethren in Christ Church, Hwy 76, Knifley, KY, with Bro. Dave Book and Bro. Kyle Riddle officiating. Burial will follow in the Caldwell Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be on Monday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, and will continue Tuesday from 9amCT until 11amCT at the Knifley Brethren in Christ Church. She was born on September 8, 1938, in Knifley, KY to the late Ancil and Martha Mings Spires. She was preceded in death by her husband Elvin O. Giles. Mrs. Giles was a member of the Knifley Brethren in Christ Church and enjoyed many church activities, mowing her yard, flower gardening, crafts, and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include four children Keith Elvin Giles and Sharon Denise Baker both of Knifley, KY, Timothy Alan Giles (Darla) of Versailles, KY and Jerry Dean Giles (Ann) of Columbia, KY; two grandchildren Jeannie Mitchell of Campbellsville, KY and Kyle Riddle (Natalie) of Glensfork, KY; 6 great grandchildren and one on the way Taylan Mitchell, Greyson Riddle, Jake Riddle, Jackson Riddle, Everly Riddle, Tye Riddle, and baby Riddle due in May 2025; several other friends and other relatives. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by nine siblings William, Robert, Joe, Ivan, Clifton, and Ancil Spires, Jr., Lillian Burton, Beatrice Phipps, and Frances Hancock. Pallbearers will be Keith Giles, Tim Giles, Jerry Giles, Randy Quinn, Kyle Riddle, Taylan Mitchell, and Carl Shirley. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
