Helen Carter, 87, Cumberland County, KY

Helen Carter, age 87 of Burkesville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Cumberland County Hospital. She was born on October 16, 1937 in Cumberland County, KY to the late William Cass Walker and Ethel Gearlds Walker. She was a member of Mud Camp Church of Christ and was a former cook for several area restaurants.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Jerry J.D. Carter, two brothers Truman Walker and Paul "Shorty" Walker and three sisters Vola Honeycut, Eunice "Dumpy" Walker and Margie Muse, and nieces and nephews Ross Walker, John David Walker, Gary Ray Honeycut, Linda Lois Key, Marty Muse, and Michael Ray Pitcock.

Survivors Include:

Her Husband- Delmos Carter of Burkesville, KY

Nephew and special son- Micky Walker and wife Mandi of Burkesville, KY

One Sister- Linda Pitcock of Marrowbone, KY

One Brother- Jimmy Walker and wife Gail of Shepherdsville, KY

Nieces and Nephews- Allen Walker, Frank Walker, William Paul Walker, Angela Rush, Jim Honeycut, Glenda Honeycut, Darlene Honeycut, Marsha Keillor, Cathy Knox, Carla Bramlett, Carol Guffey

Two special grandchildren- Jacey Sparks and husband Mikey and LaRissa Walker, along with a host of great nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends

Funeral Service: Monday, October 28, 2024 at 11amCT at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, 304 N. Main Street, Burkesville, KY with burial in Mud Camp Cemetery. Family requests visitation on Sunday, Oct. 27th from 3 till 9 and after 6 Monday until time for the service.
