Phillip Patterson, 89, Cane Valley, KY (1935-2024)

Phillip Patterson of Cane Valley died on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at Summit Manor Nursing Home. He was 89 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 1pmCT on Sunday, October 27, 2024, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY. Burial will follow in Willow Springs Cemetery in Casey County, with full military honors presented by the Casey County Veterans Honor Guard.

Visitation is requested after 11amCT on Sunday.


He was born August 18, 1935, in Casey County, to the late Ray and Lola Eastham Patterson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Gregory Patterson, three brothers, Donald, Earl and Eugene Patterson, four sisters and two brothers-in-law, Regina and Dorothy Patterson, Pauline (Leonard) Morgan, Christine (Willard) Cravens.

Mr. Patterson was a U.S. Army Veteran, a member of the Grand Lodge of Ohio for over 50 years, a retired Barber, former factory worker in Cincinnati, Ohio, enjoyed playing music and bird hunting.

Survivors include:
  • His wife - Juanita Putteet Patterson of Cane Valley, uniting in marriage on December 19, 1952
  • Two brothers - Jerry Patterson of Liberty, Roscoe (Joetta) Patterson of Liberty, Garland (Maxine) Patterson of Mississippi
  • Several other relatives and friends
