Red Johnson, 84, Taylor County, KY Lilburn Junior "Red" Johnson of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of the late Bob and Lela Bell Allen Johnson, was born on May 5, 1940 in Casey County, Kentucky. He departed this life on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in Campbellsville having attained the age of 84 years, five months and 14 days. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Johnson was a drywall contractor, a former employee of Cox Interior specializing in custom trim, and a farmer. Survivors include his wife, Christine Johnson of Campbellsville; three daughters and sons-in-law: Pat and Robert Burton of Columbia, Doris and Shane Moore of Campbellsville, and Faye and Don Mackie of Elkhorn; grandchildren: Brandie and Eric Shepherd, Robby and Julie Burton, Tyler and Bethany Moore, Brady and Brylee Townsend, Karen Cathron, Sherry Brown, Brandon and Danielle Mackie and Zackary and Annette Mackie; 12 great-grandchildren; two brothers and a sister-in-law: Melvin and Lucille Johnson of Roley, and Larry Johnson of Indiana; two sisters: Wanda Sanders of Casey County and Shelby Swafford of Tennessee; plus a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by six siblings, Wayne, Louise, Phyllis, Shirley, Marie and Edith. The funeral services will be conducted at 1pmCT on Wednesday, October, 23, 2024 at the Gupton-Landrum Funeral Home in Greensburg with burial to follow in the Jones Chapel Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy are requested to be made in the form of donations to Jones Chapel Cemetery Fund or Gideon Bibles, both of which can be made at the funeral home.
