Garry Lee Means, 74,, Casey County, KY (1949-2024)

Garry Lee Means, of Liberty, passed away at his home on Tuesday, October 8, 2024. He was 74.

He was born December 11, 1949, in Casey County, KY, a son of Maurine Godbey Means and the late Julius Means. Garry was in construction, worked as an electrician and was a "Jack" of all trades.


In addition to his father, Garry was preceded in death by his wife, Faye Buis Means; his brothers, Lloyd, Robin and Ronnie Means; and his sister, Debbie Rose.

He is survived by his sons, Garry Means, Jr. of the Philippines, Garry Means (and Lisa) and Shawn Means (and Melinda) both of Liberty; his grandchildren, Alyssa, Tiffani, Chloe, Chase and Hannah; his mother, Maurine Godbey Means of Liberty; his brother, Roger Means (and Beverly) of Yosemite; his sister, Kathy Hatter of Waynesburg.

Funeral services will be at 1pmET Saturday, October 12, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Kevin Pittman officiating. Burial will follow in Rich Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11 to 1 Saturday.
