Virginia Elizabeth McCubbin, 86, Greensburg, KY Virginia Elizabeth Trowbridge Hardwick McCubbin of Greensburg, Kentucky, daughter of the late Cecil E. Trowbridge and Ethel Curry Trowbridge, was born on Wednesday, February 2, 1938 in Green County and passed away on Thursday, October 3, 2024 at her home. She was 86 years, eight months, and one day of age. She had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She worked at Fruit of the Loom and in the cafeteria at Green County Elementary School. She was united in marriage to Charles Leslie Hardwick on December 25, 1957, who preceded her in death on September 13, 1995. Later, she united in marriage to Roy McCubbin on July 4, 2005, who also preceded her in death on January 6, 2018. She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law: Regina and Freddie Robertson, Tami Lynn and Dennis Whitlow all of Greensburg; a son and daughter-in-law: DeWayne and Melissa Hardwick of Greensburg; three grandchildren: Brandy Whitlow of Georgia, and her companion, Edgar Martinez, Amber Canales and Jose of Summershade, Craig Robertson of Green County; four great-grandchildren: Maya Sales, Riley Robertson, Dixie Canales, Nico Lopez. She was also preceded in death by three sisters: Dorothy Coomer, Frances Jones, Lillian Sloan. The funeral services for Virginia McCubbin will be conducted at 10amCT Monday, October 7, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Macedonia Cemetery. Bro. Leslie Jewell officiating. Visitation is requested from 4 until 8 Sunday and after 7 Monday until time of the funeral service. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Gideon Bible Fund which can be made at the funeral home.
