Marilyn Derringer, 68, Liberty, KY (1956-2024) Marilyn Derringer, 68, of Liberty, KY, passed away and was taken up by her Lord and Savior. She was born on January 15, 1956, in Taylor County, KY, to the late William E. and Myrtle Wethington. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Wethington. Marilyn was a kind and loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend who always placed others before herself. She loved deeply and unconditionally, leaving behind countless memories of laughter and warmth. She cherished life’s simple pleasures, from quilting to enjoying spooky movies, ‘frogging’ her son-in-laws, mastering Tetris, and winning at Spade Rummy. Though her passing leaves a void, her love and joy will live on in her family forever. Survivors include her three sons, Rodney Derringer (Jillian Morrow) of West Chester, OH, Jessee Derringer (Amanda Lewis) of Berea, KY, and Tyler Wethington (Holly) of Campbellsville, KY; her two daughters, Kimberly Denson (Christopher) and Wendy Brown (Derek), both of Liberty, KY; her grandchildren, Ethan Sellers and Keira Denson, along with six honorary grandchildren; her two brothers, William “Bimbo” Wethington (Kathy) of Middleburg, KY, and Jimmy Wethington (Marsha) of Clementsville, KY; and her two sisters, Emma Wethington (Gary) and Carolyn Rae Coleman-Vittitoe (Odell), both of Clementsville, KY. The funeral mass will be held at 5pmCT on Friday, October 4, 2024, at St. Bernard Catholic Church with Deacon Joe Dant officiating. The family will receive friends from 2pmCT to 4:30pmCT on Friday, October 4, 2024, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home. This story was posted on 2024-10-03 14:48:51
