Barbara D. Biggs, 92, Green Co., KY native (1931-2024)

Barbara D. (Lemons) Biggs of Louisville died on Saturday, September 28, 2024, at Green Meadows in Mt. Washington, Kentucky. She was 92 years old.

The funeral service will be held at 11amCT on Friday, October 4, 2024, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Tim Cain officiating. Burial will follow in Griffin Cemetery in Taylor County.

Visitation is requested from 3pmCT until 7pmCT on Thursday, and any time before service on Friday.


She was born October 22, 1931, in Green County, to the late Ira and Anna Mary Hayes Lemons. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobbie Biggs, three brothers and three sisters, Charlie, Booker and Joe Lemons, Eunice Clark, Edna Stone, Margaret Sells. She was a member of Larchmont Church of God in Louisville and a homemaker.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons - Calvin (Sandy) Biggs and Donnie (Linda) Biggs all of Louisville
  • One daughter - Angie (Tim) Cain of Mt. Washington
  • Three grandchildren - Kristin (Jeremy) Ball, Brittany (Matthew) Harris, Jordan Cain
  • Three great-grandchildren - Hadley Ball, Addison Ball, Brooks Harris and she was expecting her fourth great-grandchild, Madelyn Harris
  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
Casket Bearers: Jordan Cain, Matt Harris, Jeremy Ball, Gary Smith, Jay Rideout, David Callison, Joe Smith
