Dimple Coomer, 95, Columbia, KY (1929-2024)

Dimple (Baker) Coomer of Columbia died on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at her home. She was 95 years old.

Dimple requested no visitation or funeral. She is to be buried in Antioch Cemetery.


She was born August 17, 1929, in Adair County, to the late Edd Lee and Lillie Mae Coomer Baker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, German Coomer, two sisters, Mary Helen Bunch and Claristeen Reliford and four brothers, Woodson, Willie Elmer, Clarence Embry and Stanley Baker.

Survivors include:
  • Two sons - Donald Coomer of Columbia and Johnny Coomer of Dalton, Georgia
  • Two brothers - Willard Baker and Richard Baker both of Columbia
  • One grandchild - Ashley Coomer
  • Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
