Whistle Sullivan, 83, Green County, KY (1941-2024)

Wendell DeLynn "Whistle" Sullivan of Greensburg, Kentucky, son of the late Brady B. Sullivan and Blanche Bagby Sullivan Crain, was born Saturday, January 25, 1941 in Green County and departed this life on Monday, September 23, 2024 at Baptist Health Hardin. He was 83 years, 7 months and 29 days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Fry Baptist Church. He was a member of the Greensburg Masonic Lodge #54 F&AM. He was also a veteran having served in the United States Army and Army National Guard, and worked for GE as a Line Worker and Fork Lift Driver.


Survived by his wife of 60 years: Trevor Bagby Sullivan of Greensburg, having united in marriage on March 28, 1964.

Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Tammy Sullivan Lawson of Greensburg and Kenny Lawson of Summersville; two grandchildren: Matthew Dylan Blakeman of Greensburg and Miranda Star Blakeman and her companion, Kody Sanders of Bowling Green; a niece: Terri Sullivan of Florida; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Joyce and James Clark of Bowling Green, Olen and Selena Bagby of Campbellsville, Garry Bagby of Greensburg; a special friend: Mark Blakeman of Greensburg.

He is preceded in death by a brother: Gleason Sullivan; and a sister: Opal Gibson.

The funeral services will be conducted at 11amCT Wednesday at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Campbellsville Memorial Gardens with full military honors conducted by the Marion County Honor Guard. Bro. Jared Ervin officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4 until 7 Tuesday and after 7 Wednesday until time of the funeral service.

The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Fry Baptist Church Building Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
