Jeffrey Allen Burns, 65, Casey County, KY (1958-2024)

Jeffrey Allen Burns age 65, of Liberty, KY passed away on Saturday, September 21th, 2024, at his residence.

He was a former Mill Operator at Central Soya and was with the National Guard for six years.


He was born in Franklin, IN on December 16th, 1958, to the late Jack Burns and Alta Mae Higgins Newton.

Survivors include:his wife; Sherrie Melton Burns, two daughters: Tonia (Kevin) Little and Misty Burns Hook both of Liberty, three honorary sons: Ronnie Williams of Indianapolis, IN, Dustin Deel of Bedford, IN, and Michael Mitchell of Elwood, IN, five grandchildren: Kendra, Chandra, Mikayla, Brianna, and Kaiden, one great-grandchild; Elias. Five sisters; Cathy Burns, Angela Whittaker, Nancy Napier, Jennifer Vaught and Paula Tucker and two brothers: Jackie Burns and Rick Burns.

Preceding him in death besides his parents were two brothers; Wayne Burns and Eddie Newton.

Graveside services will be held 12noonET Tuesday September 24th, 2024 at Melton Cemetery. Bro. Brent Huggins officiating. Burial will be in Melton Cemetery.
