Walter Ray Edwards, 72, Green County, KY Walter Ray Edwards of Green County, Kentucky, son of the late Joseph Bryan Edwards and Martha Alice Arnett Edwards was born on Tuesday, May 20, 1952 in Green County and departed this life on Friday, September 13, 2024 in Green County. He was 72 years, 3 months, and 24 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Aetna Union Baptist Church. He loved fishing, bowling and was a big fan of the University of Kentucky Wildcats. Survived by his wife, Janice Lile Edwards of Green County, having united in marriage on August 30, 1985. Other survivors include a daughter and son-in-law: Casey Rae and Stephen Moss Milby of Green County; two grandchildren: Riddick Moss Milby and Maverick Nova Milby both of Green County; a sister and brother-in-law: Josephine Edwards and Joe Shirley of Magnolia; a nephew and his wife: Jordan and Nichole Nimmo Shirley of Canmer; a niece: Brenna Shirley of Danville; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. The funeral services for Walter Ray Edwards will be conducted at 2pmCT Wednesday, September 18, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Edwards Cemetery. Bro. Casey Durrett officiating. Visitation is requested after 9:30 Wednesday until time of the service. The family has requested that expressions of sympathy take form of donation to the Family Burial Fund, which can be made at the funeral home.
