Billy Edward Cook, 54, Russell County, KY (1969-2024)

Billy Edward Cook, age 54, of Jamestown, KY passed away Wednesday, September 11 2024 at Russell County Hospital.

He was a cook at Dairy Queen and of the Baptist faith. He loved to play golf and loved all sports and enjoyed being with his family and going to football, basketball and baseball games.


He was born on Tuesday, December 02 1969, the son of Ida Lyons Burdine and Gerald Cook, who preceded him in death.

Survivors also include:

Wife - Jessica Dishman Cook of Jamestown, KY

1 Daughter: Emily Cook, of Jamestown KY

1 Son: Joseph Cook, of Jamestown KY.

2 Step-Daughters: Katlyn Guffey, of Monticello KY and Alisha Cook, of Jamestown KY

3 Sisters: Sandy Vaughn, of Whitley City KY; Bonnie Rankin, of Lexington KY; and Tina Caldwell, of Healdton OK

2 Brothers: Stoney Cook, of Somerset KY and Gary Cook, of Monticello KY

He is also survived by one granddaughter, Kaira Guffey and one grandson Alec Guffey and a host of nieces and nephews and a special best friend Charles Durham.

Celebration of life will be 3pmCT Saturday, September 14, 2024 at Cook Family residence, 131 Lawless Lane, Jamestown, KY.

Officiating: Bro. Christian Naylor

Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
