Ruby Grace Hurt, 95, Cumberland County, KY Ruby Grace (Baise) Hurt of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday, September 5, 2024, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky, having attained the age of 95 years, 9 months, and 4 days. She was born on Saturday, December 1, 1928, in Cumberland County, the daughter of Thomas Bedford & Ruth Elizabeth (Willis) "Lizzie" Baise. She was of the Christian faith, a member of the Waterview Church of Christ, worked as a loving homemaker, and factory worker for Bob Evens, for many years. In her free time Ruby Grace enjoyed gardening, cleaning house, and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Keith Hurt, whom she wed on Wednesday, February 22, 1950, siblings, Franklin Baise, Elvin "Chigger" Baise, James Baise, Charlie Heard Baise, Alta Johnson Hill, and Robbie Watkins. She is survived by her son, Randall Keith (& Judy) Hurt of Burkesville, Kentucky, grandson, Matthew Keith (& Lauren) Hurt of Dubre, Kentucky, great-grandchildren, Lorelei Paige Hurt, Hutton Cecil Hurt, and Vallie Grace Hurt. The funeral service will be conducted on Monday, September 9, 2024 at 1pmCT in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home, with Bro. Raymond Castillo officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, September 8, 2024 beginning at 6pm until the funeral hour on Monday afternoon. Burial will be in the Grider Memorial Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy appreciated to the Grider Memorial Cemetery or Waterview Church of Christ, in her memory. This story was posted on 2024-09-09 10:00:14
