ACHS English teacher in the spotlight

By Jade Waggener
ACHS student reporter for Columbia Magazine

Hello! My name is Robyn Mantooth and I am going into my 20th year of teaching (English at Adair County High School). I have a husband who also teaches at Adair County Elementary, and two daughters who are students at ACMS and ACHS.

During the summer I love to work in my garden, fish in our pond, and enjoy the nights on my front porch with my family.

My husband and I have a side business called Market 12:34 where we make customized wooden ornaments, trays, signs, and more. One day we hope to have our own store to sell our items.

What I love most about my job as a teacher is the relationships I build with my students. I strive to be a positive light in their lives, creating bonds that will last.

As the new school year begins, I am excited to meet more students and hope to make a meaningful impact on their lives!
