Strong Women Strong Coffee event held in Columbia Over forty local entrepreneurs and community members gathered recently at the Columbia Adair County Welcome and Development Center on Burkesville Street for the Strong Women Strong Coffee networking event and panel discussion. The event, aimed at fostering a supportive community among local businesses, featured an impressive lineup of speakers and attracted a vibrant crowd eager to connect and share ideas. The panel discussion, moderated by Devanny King, director of the Women's Business Center of Kentucky, spotlighted three distinguished local businesswomen. Tina Thomas of Old Columbia, Andrea Feese of AF Photography and the Bank of Columbia, and Amy Walker, Principal Broker with Walker Realty, shared their experiences and insights as women entrepreneurs . King opened the session with a warm welcome, emphasizing the importance of such events in creating a cohesive and supportive network for women entrepreneurs across Kentucky. Each panelist credited the mentors who guided, encouraged and supported them from their early days to the present. A common theme was that, as business owners and as women, we are stronger and better together by cooperating and helping each other rather than focusing on competition. The Strong Women Strong Coffee series, held across the state, aims to bring together local businesses to create a supportive and dynamic community. These gatherings are essential for fostering collaboration, innovation, and growth among women entrepreneurs in Kentucky. As the event wrapped up, the enthusiasm and positive energy in the room were palpable. Many attendees expressed their gratitude for the opportunity to learn from and connect with other local businesswomen, and their interest in continuing the momentum as part of a local business women's network.
