Sheila Diane Coomer, 61, Columbia, KY (1962-2024) Sheila Diane (Branham) Coomer of Columbia passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024, at T. J. Health Columbia. She was 61 years old. Funeral services will be held at 2pmCT on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg St., Columbia, KY, with Bro. Doug Popplewell and Bro. David Karnes officiating. Burial will follow in the Fudge Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10amCT on Sunday at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home. She was born in Adair County on July 16, 1962, to the late Jessie "Buddy" Branham and Rebecca A. Claywell Grant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister Lisa Branham and her stepfather Elford Grant. Diane was of the Christian faith and enjoyed spending time with her friend "Gunner" and her family and friends. Survivors include her sister Carolyn Cowan (Gilbert) of Columbia, KY; two nephews Bobby Bennett of Columbia, KY and Kavin Cowan (Nina) of Florida; great niece and nephew Delaney and Nathan Bennett; bonus grandchildren Bren, Lily, Eska, and Freyja; a special cousin Fredia Melton (Doug); special friends Garry Burton and Terry Keltner and several other cousins and friends. Pallbearers will be Shirl Darnell, Garry Burton, Dale Corbin, Chris Bragg, and Tojo Phillips. Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
