Connie Burress, 82, Milltown, KY (1941-2024) Connie (Downey) Burress of the Milltown Community died on Sunday, April 28, 2024 at 10:39 A.M. at Metcalfe Health Care Center in Edmonton. She was 82 years old. The funeral service will be held at 11amCT on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Milltown Church with Bro. Barney Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Milltown Cemetery. Visitation is requested on Tuesday from 4pmCT until 8pmCT, and and Wednesday from 6amCT until 8:30amCT at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, and after 9amCT on Wednesday at the church. She was born December 2, 1941, in Adair County, to the late Richard and Elva Rogers Downey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Bobby Burress, her step-father, Horace Gabehart and her brother, Larry Downey. Connie was a faithful member of Milltown Church until her health failed, a member of the Portlandettes Homemaker Club, worked at Fruit of the Loom and was a Ward Clerk at Westlake Regional Hospital. Survivors include:
