Steven Howard Suratt, 58, Taylor County, KY (1966-2024)

Steven Howard Suratt of Campbellsville, Kentucky, son of Roy Howard Suratt and Lola Marie Corbin Suratt of Greensburg, was born on Wednesday, April 13, 1966 in Green County and departed this life on Sunday, April 21, 2024at age 58.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Allendale Baptist Church. He was a former electrical maintenance employee for the Taylor Regional Hospital. He loved U.K. basketball, hunting, fishing, running his beagles, but above all, his greatest love and joy were his grandbabies.


Besides his parents, his is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jean Carol Young Suratt of Campbellsville, having united in marriage on December 17, 1988.

Other survivors include his children: Keisha Marie Suratt Thompson and husband, Keaton of Greensburg, Eric Steven Suratt, Haley Paige Suratt Carter and husband, Zach of all of Campbellsville; six grandchildren: Kylin Suratt, Masen Suratt, Axton Lile, Ellason Carter, Colton Carter, and Oaklyn Thompson; mother-in-law: Geraldine Young of Greensburg; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Jeff and Missi Suratt, Jeremy and Melissa Suratt all of Greensburg; a sister and brother-in-law: Lisa and Jeffrey Shelton of Greensburg; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ricky Young and companion, Leise Long of Summersville, Jane Young and wife, Polly Craig of Ft. Knox, Stephanie and Mike Edwards of Summersville, and Connie West of Washington State; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral services for Steven Howard Suratt will be conducted at 11amCT Thursday, April 25, 2024 at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home with burial to follow in the Green County Memory Gardens. Bro. Shannon McCubbins officiating.

Visitation is requested from 4-8 Wednesday until time of the funeral service.

The family has asked that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the family burial expenses, which can be made at the funeral home.
