Mia Renee Hardaway, 56, Bowling Green, KY (1967-2024)

Mia Renee Hawkins Hardaway of Bowling Green died on Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at her home after a short illness. She was 56 years old.

The funeral service will be held at NoonCT on Saturday, April 27, 2024, at Grissom-Martin Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville Street, Columbia, KY, with Minister Daryl Wingo delivering the Eulogy. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery.

Visitation is requested after 10:30amCT on Saturday, April 27, 2024.


She was born May 31, 1967, to the late Wanda Taylor Hawkins. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gina Hawkins, her brother, Scotty Hawkins and a nephew, Demarco "Reesie" Hawkins, in-laws, Ralph and Loretta Hardaway and Shirley Fields. She was a member of Lively Stone Church South in Bowling Green and a Medical Records Assistant at Fairview Community Health Center.

Survivors include:
  • Her husband - Kenneth Hardaway of Bowling Green
  • One daughter - Jaleesa Hawkins of Bowling Green
  • Three brothers - Tim Hawkins of Jeffersonville, Indiana, Cortez Hawkins of Bowling Green and Marty "Moe" Hawkins of Glasgow
  • One grandchild - SaMya Williams
  • Her God-Daughter - Jessica Houston of Louisville
  • Two aunts and one uncle - Sheeree Willis and Jean Willis both of Louisville and Clifford Taylor of Maryland
  • Kenny's siblings - Buford & Dennis Hardaway, Elaine Judy Ellington, Betty Ann Williams, Larry Evans
  • A special niece, Tiffany Hawkins, along with several other nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends
