Tennis: LWC opens conference play at Freed-Hardeman

The Lindsey Wilson men's and women's tennis teams will be traveling to Freed-Hardeman on Thursday for their first conference match of the season. Thursday's matchups are set to begin at 3pmCT in Henderson, TN. The men will also play Huntingdon at home on Friday at 2pmCT and Grace at home on Monday at 2pmCT.

The Lions are entering unranked on both the men's and women's team, with the men's team having a record of 3-3 and coming off a loss to UT Southern, while the women are 2-3 overall and are also coming off a loss to UT Southern. The (RV) Huntington (Ind.) men's team are coming into Friday's match with a 12-4 record, most recently falling to Cumberlands 5-2 and No. 17 Grace (Ind.) currently have a 12-2 overall record and are 8-0 in their conference, having most recently defeated Cornerstone 6-1.

The Blue Raider men enter ranked at No. 21 with a 2-2 record, coming off a loss to No. 4 Northwestern Ohio and the No. 12 ranked women are entering with a 5-2 record coming off a sweep this past weekend. The last time the Blue Raiders faced Freed-Hardeman was March 17, 2023 where Lindsey Wilson defeated the Lions 7-0. The men last played Huntington on February 25, 2023 for the first ever meeting, winning 4-1, and last met Grace on March 3, 2020 defeating them 7-0.
