Why so many Eagles in Adair County in 2024 Larry Baker called to say that he spotted yet another Bald Eagle in Adair County this morning - that's the second one this year and it's only February. He's averaging one a month. While driving on Holmes Bend Road, he saw what he thought was a Vulture so he speeded up to make it fly away. When the bird flew, he realized he had just run off an Eagle and he said he asked himself, "Why are there so many eagles all of a sudden in this area?"
