Russell Colvin, 85, Taylor County, KY (1938-2024) Russell Colvin of Campbellsville, son of the late Ezra Colvin and Esther Colvin, was born October 11, 1938 in Taylor County, Kentucky. He died at the age of 85 on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 in Campbellsville. Russell served his country honorably in the United States Army. He retired from Houchens in 2003 after spending more than 40 years in the Grocery Industry. He professed faith in Christ and was a member of Green River Memorial Baptist Church. He united in marriage to Marjorie Bault June 27, 1959. Outside of spending time with his family, Russell enjoyed spending time with friends on the golf course. After retirement he became an avid golfer. Besides his wife, Marjorie Colvin of Campbellsville, Russell is survived by one daughter and one son: Cathy Mullins and husband, Jeff of Bowling Green and Jason Colvin of New Orleans, Louisiana; four grandchildren: Logan Pillow and wife Isis, Skylar Dowies, Reese Colvin and Brody Colvin; one brother and two sisters: Richard "Shorty" Colvin, Geraldine Bennett and husband, Ron and Margaret Parrott of Campbellsville; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends. Funeral service will be held at 1pmET Tuesday, February 27, 2024 at Parrott & Ramsey Funeral Home in Campbellsville by Dr. James E. Jones. BURIAL: Campbellsville Memorial Gardens.
