Sarah Shetler, 59, Casey County, KY (1964-2024)

Sarah Shetler, of Liberty, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024, at her home. She was 59.

Born on May 17, 1964, in Dundee, Ohio, she was a daughter of Rebecca J. Hershberger and the late Jacob E. Hershberger. Sarah was a homemaker. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and spending time with her grandchildren.


She is survived by her husband, Daniel E. Shetler, who she wed on February 8, 1990; children, Levi (Katie) Shetler, Becky (Eli J.) Miller, Jacob Shetler, Sam (Mary) Shetler, Ezra (Kathryn) Shetler, Emanuel Shetler, Anna Shetler, and Malinda Shetler; brothers, Joseph (Susan) Hershberger, William (Mary) Hershberger, Andrew (Susan) Hershberger, Ezra (Mary) Hershberger, and Dan Hershberger; and sisters, Malinda (Henry) Troyer and Becky (Mike) Ross. Other survivors include grandchildren, Ida Mae, Amos Monroe, Reuben, John, Sarah, and Toby.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by a daughter, Delila Shetler; and a sister, Mattie Yoder.

The funeral service will be held at 9amET on Monday, February 26, 2024, at her home at 2166 S. Fork Ridge Rd. Liberty, KY 42539. Burial will be held in Peterscheim Cemetery.
