Bonnie Reed Shofner, 82, Gre)en County, KY (1941-2024

Bonnie Reed Shofner was born December 3, 1941, in Green County, KY to the late Lewis and Gladys McCubbins Shofner. He departed this life on Thursday, February 22, 2024 having attained the age of eighty-two years, two months, and nineteen days of age.

He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Brush Creek Baptist Church. He was currently a Pest Control Technician owning his own business. He had 22 years of service with The National Guard and was a member of The American Legion Post 82 of Campbellsville, The William B. Allen No.704 F&AM Masonic Lodge in Summersville, KY, The National Guard, The Central Ky Racking Horse Association, and The KY Walking and Racking Horse Owners and Trainers Association.


Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother: Milton Shofner.

Survivors include his wife: Helen Joyce Howell Shofner; two sons: Brian Scott Abbott and Roy Dale Abbott both of Summersville; one daughter and her husband: Miki Lynn and Gary Feese; one brother: Randall Joe Shofner of Mt Sherman KY,; one sister: Linda Marcum Thompson of Campbellsville, KY; one brother-in-law: David Howell of Campbellsville, KY,; one sister-in-law: Christine Dawson of Elizabethtown, KY; three grandchildren: Gary Wayne Feese Jr., Marissa and Josh Roy, and Monessa Feese; four great grandchildren: Lavontea Jordan, Jaelyn Smith, Jada Smith, and Memphis Roy, plus a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Bonnie Reed Shofner will be PRIVATELY held on Monday, February 26, 2024, at Foster-Toler-Curry Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Milby and Bro. Casey Durrett officiating. Burial will follow in the Green County Memory Gardens in the Summersville Community of Green County with full military honors by the Marion County Veteran's Honor Guard.

Public Visitation will be from 5pm until 8pm on Sunday, February 25, 2024, and after 7am central time on Monday. Masonic Service will be held at 6pm cst on Sunday, February 25, 2024.

Pallbearers: Randall Joe Shofner II, Anthony Shofner, Tyler Shofner, John Milton Shofner, Daniel Marcum, Gary Feese Jr.
